5 innovative ways with teas and winner announcement

I know not everyone likes coffee but I’ve honestly never met or know anyone who doesn’t like tea. There are so many varieties of teas out there that you can never get bored with it. Just look at the brand Miss Teas’e Organic Life, they have such interesting teas available like “Lemongrass & Ginger Deluxe”, “Tropical Surprise”, “Peppermint crush”. So what else can you do with tea? Teas are by nature so full of delicate flavours and aromas so I was wondering how we can cook with it. Googling “cooking with tea” came up with so many inspiring ideas that I just had to share my top 5 favourites.

This might sound like a humble shortbread cookie, but thanks to the chai seasoning, they take on a beautiful complex flavour. Imagine crumbly, buttery texture of the  shortbread with hits of Indian spices like ginger, cinnamon, fennel and cardamom. Sounds divine doesn’t it?

(5) Green Tea Poached Salmon with Braised Spinach

Green Tea Salmon

Fish absorbs flavours and aromas very well so this salmon takes on a wonderful Asian flavour when infused with the delicate flavours of green tea, ginger and sesame oil. Taking this a little further, serve it with green tea-steamed rice. A simple yet fancy meal that you can have for weekday dinners or a special occasion.
